School Library Service

The School Library Service supports reading and learning in schools and academies by lending books, picture packs and artefacts.

We create bespoke termly topic and fiction loans for classroom use on a broad range of subjects, and encourage wider reading with our age appropriate and extensive fiction resources.

The School Library Service is key to engaging young learners with literacy and helps them develop a lifelong love of reading. Our books are selected on the basis of their engaging, educational content and placement within school libraries. Combined with our artefacts they can bring learning alive.

Our fantastic bookbuses are packed with quality fiction and non-fiction and we have a large showroom of new books, often called an Aladdin’s Cave by visiting teachers. You can buy or borrow from these collections.

The School Library Service team of professional and experienced Advisory Librarians can give advice on all library and book related issues including school libraries design and layout and practical help to maintain or overhaul your book stock.

With our enthusiasm, passion and knowledge of children’s books we can give your school or academy excellent support across the curriculum.
