Assessment Leader Programme
The changing assessment landscape poses challenges for schools as they develop assessment and progress tracking practice in a culture of autonomy. It is vital that schools have access to the latest assessment information and a forum for sharing effective practice.
With changing National Curriculum expectations, teachers need to re-establish confidence in the accuracy of their daily assessment judgements in a context where levels no longer apply.
We understand the value of the opportunity to engage in standardisation and moderation with other schools. Our assessment support programmes are designed to meet these current needs.
School Assessment Leader Programme
This programme focuses on developing your assessment practice, statutory assessment processes and moderation of standards. It enables your school to access expertise and meet regularly with others to share best practice.
Our School Assessment Leader update sessions, which are included in this programme, are the highest attended events that we run in Essex.
The programme includes:
- Attendance at the scheduled termly School Assessment Leader Update sessions
- Three ‘Developing Assessment Practice’ events provided exclusively to subscribing schools
- Membership of the e-communication group for ongoing updates and news about national policy development and resources
- Ongoing adviser support via email
Our team carries out the statutory assessment process across Essex on behalf of the Standards and Testing Agency. We therefore have access to the latest national information as well as a wide range of effective practice.
